Unless you're a cardiologist who is waiting to hear the sounds of the dark heart, go with whatever? pi? inexpensive. Your stethoscope? likely to get badly placed, lost or stolen, however, so use cheap ones ($ 10-12) and I can hear the murmurs, wheezing, rales i, etc..
AMO my lightweight. I 'the VE has had two years without problems. However, as the other poster said, they tend to "away" of the walk;. The lightweight (and prob other well) come with a dish that can affect the name w / your …. Just a few dollars to a deposit of jewelry. Relativo worth my time b / c it is more likely to find its way back.
I have the Littman cardiology matrix and the love, the no Ive never had a problem with and the sound is amazing. I 'the VE has had from day one of the school of nursing profession, but is sure to put your name on it and never left anyone else use it, especially doctors, tend to steal the stethoscopes nice! If you work for a unit with the same nurse continuously, tend to keep track of things to eachothers.
