How far along do you have to be to be able to detect your baby’s heartbeat with a stethascope?

I 'm weeks 18 1 / 2 pregnant. I was wondering if you can detect the heartbeat with a stethascope normal. My husband used to be an EMT so he has one.

  1. Wait to hear the heartbeat without amplification Beginning at about 20 weeks, the heartbeat can be heard without Doppler amplification. A special stethoscope called a fetoscope pu? be used, or the side (concave) of the bell of a stethoscope normal pu? be pressed firmly on your abdomen. The heart beat? After the pi? well above the baby 's back, which often seems to constantly think about when sull'utero. If you are overweight or if the placenta? on the front wall uteri, pu? be difficult to hear the fetal heart by stethoscope. Gets most then pi? easy pregnancy.

  2. I think we still have to use a doppler … or everything your doctor would use the stethscope Registry

  3. I Don 't think you can with a regular stethoscope
