Question: I 'm of ED nurse who used a normal adult stethescope during my 2 years of practice. I 'm. looking to get a new that has the interchangable adult / pediatric heads. It seems like it would be very useful, however, is $ 56 more just stethescope adult … I 'M that goes to school in the fall who is studying to be a professional dell'infermiera of the family, so I know I 'll be on is assessing pediatric patients. What do you think? It is also worth it to get the stethescope interchangable, or should I just buy separate children later? Thank you!

The pace of the tones of the heart of Pedi is different that adults and in normal practice and you can use the bell of a stethoscope (or record the pressure on certain Littmans). There is also the issue of those tiny anatomical - their bodies are small ….. little good. Try auscultation in a field with a large aperture heard everything. So the best advice I can give him as an old man in the trenches Navy is to buy a better stethoscope that you can afford. Part of quality of equipment is your gift to you to make your work better and allow more carry a high quality of care to your patients.
I think Susie has given good advice. Future from a supplier, I have a head for my children and I can think stethescope perhaps a half dozen times in a matter of ten years in which it could be useful
