   Each side of the stethoscope is used to listen to the sounds of different frequency. One is for un'più high frequency and the other is for the lower frequencies. Also, when listening to your back and say it to breathe deeply, really are listening to your lungs not your heart. According to have the stethoscope, (usually in a few different places) is what you really are listening.
